ABOUT BELLYFLOP
|
The idea for BELLYFLOP MAGAZINE came to me in New York during Spring 2008 after having visited numerous photo-art galleries. It was the works that stood out to me as performances that particularly influenced and fascinated me. I started wondering why I had not yet seen a Performing Arts Magazine (a free one as well) that somehow showed a passion for a less traditional kind of performance photography, as well as texts based on the day-to-day life of Performing Arts & Artists? I then decided to make one.
Enjoy and I hope you will find BELLYFLOP inspiring, entertaining - maybe even slightly useful, who knows? |

The façade is the skin of the structure, the surface that makes the first, and certainly most important, impression on strangers. Design is the visual presentation of your content, the skin of a web site. Although, it might be a superficial necessity, design is essential if the content of a website should be accessible to users.
Ancient proverbs tell us that the judgement should not lie on the cover, this is indeed true, yet, in these days, where it seems the planet is spinning at double speed, people have no time to dive deep into the ocean of your delicate content unless you manage to present it in an accessible and compressible framework. I have approached BELLYFLOP with this Design Philosphy. |
